Yungaburra Bowls Club Inc.

If you find yourself on the Atherton Tablelands, the village of Yungaburra offers tranquility surrounded by natures wonders - World Heritage rainforest, crater lakes, stunning waterfalls.

This picturesque village also boasts the iconic Yungaburra Bowls Club where a warm welcome awaits visitors and locals alike.

If you are a skilled competitor, a social player or just someone who would like to learn the game, you are welcome at our friendly Yungaburra Bowls Club.

Come along to watch a game. Many people have done so and take many photos.

There is a visitor's book just inside the door.

Our Clubhouse

The Club House is charming and quaint and all visitors are welcome, whether you wish to play or not, the ambience will encourage you to stay and socialise.

You are welcome to come in and have a drink from the bar... The beer is cold and of course our beverages are very reasonable at bowls club prices. The service is top quality and above all - we share and enjoy the company of fellow bowlers and visitors alike.

We are so lucky that the club is in such a beautiful location, looking out onto the countryside and situated centrally in our beautiful village.

Our History - Our Future

Yungaburra club began in 1948 in humble beginnings and has seen many upgrades over the decades. These improvements continue where it is anticipated the new all-weather, fully covered roof structure and new green surface are on the near horizon.
Located in Cedar Street, and in the heart of the Yungaburra Heritage Village - the club, from a primitive start within a booming timber industry, has had to develop and progress overcoming many obstacles. The volunteers who founded this club and those who currently still work tirelessly today are credited for the true success of what we call the 'Gem' of the Tablelands, the Yungaburra Bowling Club.

Our Playing Times

There is no trouble getting a game.

There are three routine social days of mixed play.

These afternoon social games start at 1.00pm.

Wednesday is Club Selected Social

Friday is a Self Selected Jackpot Pairs - (Jackpot reaches $500)

Sunday is Club Selected Jackpot Bowls - (Jackpot accumulates weekly)

Outside the club house there are sheets provided for nominating and the Friday game does accept single entries.

Friday and Sunday is (casual) mufti.

Wednesday visitors from other clubs are welcome in casual clothing, just wear flat sole shoes on the green.
